Matrixed Systems was an exhibition initially running from May 29 to June 29, 2026 at GLO Modern, 45 Market St, New York, NY. It was subsequently extended to July 31, 2026. The event began in rooms equipped with numerous electronic devices, including computer monitors, keyboards, and televisions, often mounted on walls or placed on desks and white counters. Initial activities primarily involved individuals interacting with these devices, such as a woman operating a monitor or a remote control, and another person playing a video game. As the event progressed, the focus shifted to social gatherings, with groups of people, including men and women, conversing within these technologically furnished spaces. Noteworthy occurrences included a person dressed as a nun passing through a room, a woman engaged in cleaning, and another painting a computer screen. The setting broadened to encompass general event premises, including a hotel. Large display screens frequently served as focal points for groups, and a man was observed filming with a video camera. Subsequently, the narrative transitioned to a series of observations from various windows, revealing outdoor scenes such as plants and parked cars, and reflections. A prolonged segment detailed views from inside moving vehicles, specifically cars and trains, capturing passing landscapes. The event concluded in interior rooms, characterized by large white sheets of paper, posters, and written messages on walls near desks and windows, indicating a sustained environment for information display or presentations, amidst the persistent presence of electronic devices and screens.
